‘Language and landscape become interchangeable, mind-altering.’

Beyond the Fell Wall (2015)

‘To put down words
about this landscape
as if they were stones’

An exploration of the relation between the laying of stone-walls and the process of writing. Beyond the Fell Wall presents a series of textual experiments focused on the objectness of words. The placement and replacement of each word over successive pages recapitulates on an intimate scale the transformations of the land itself, century over century.
