Stadial (2019)
During the Quaternary period, climatic conditions have fluctuated between cold (stadial) and warm (interstadial) phases.
Stadial is therefore a composition for the landscape of the British and Irish peninsula as it last lay under ice, c. 27 - 21 thousand years ago. Its dissonances and abrasive textures are indicative of the kinds of destructive processes visited upon the surface of the land during this time.
